In this five day technique based course students will learn to make many of the joints required to make a structurally sound cabinet and each student will create a sample board to take home .

The joinery techniques and methods covered will be:-

• Corner Joints - Dovetails, finger joints, mitres reinforced in several ways.

• Divider Joints - Through wedged stub tenons, blind stub tenons, double tapered sliding dovetails, dominoes.

• Time permitting there will be demonstrations of three way mitres and birds mouth joinery.

The joinery methods will employ both hand cut and machine cut joinery, with discussions about how and why the various techniques are used to make a stable structure as well as how joinery can enhance a design.
