It's been busy in the workshop this month, with 7 short courses running in October. The mornings are still chilly, but the afternoons are warming up nicely. We're enjoying having more days with the roller doors open and lunches outside on the picnic tables.

LOOKING FOR GIFT IDEAS ??

Beginners' Intensive Programme
Our 8-week Beginners Intensive Programme is an amazing kick start to your woodworking journey. This course runs annually and is taught by Lou Fuller with the next course starting in mid-October and participants create four set projects - a mallet, an interlocking puzzle, a wall hanging shelf with drawer and a chair. You cover a lot of ground in a short space of time - we have space available on this year's programme so get in touch if you are interested in enrolling.
STEAM BENDING WITH YURI KOBAYASHI
3RD - 14TH MARCH 2025
Join us for a hands-on, two-week workshop where you will delve into the art of steam bending to design and create functional objects.
This course will explore steam bending techniques to incorporate curved elements into everyday items. Yuri will also introduce her playful approach to bending, including a fascinating and friendly method to steam-bend wood without a steam box.
Places are strictly limited and we expect this course to fill very quickly.

2024 EXHIBITION
We have set the dates for our 2024 exhibition which will showcase the work of our graduates and tutors and celebrate our 18th Birthday.
This exciting exhibition will run from 13th December - 23rd January at the Parker Gallery here in Nelson......
