Beginners Intensive Programme
This exciting intensive 8-week programme covers a wide variety of skills and techniques where a range of set projects are created giving students a solid foundation in fine woodworking in terms of both hand tool skills and machine competency completing a range of set projects consisting of a wooden mallet, an interlocking puzzle, a wall hanging shelf with a dovetailed drawer and a chair.
Applications are now being accepted for the 2024 Beginners’ Intensive Programme with one place being awarded to the recipient of the Thorkild Hansen Scholarship. The recipient of this generous scholarship will be under the age of 25, reside in Te Hau Ihu, Top of the South and who submits a strong and compelling application. This award is valued at a total of $8500 covering course fees, materials and a contribution to travel costs. For further details go to our Scholarship page.
