This four week course offers a significant opportunity to undertake a cabinet
making design and make project, the life blood of practising furniture
makers and a thoroughly fulfilling experience for both professional and
amateur woodworker.
Students will be supported through a design process that results in an
achievable and challenging project. Simple drawing, modelmaking and full
scale mock ups will be utilised to reach resolution. The designed piece
will then be completed by the student, with tutors ensuring constant
availability of technical and aesthetic guidance and support.
This course will be of particular interest to practising and developing
woodworkers seeking the chance to invigorate and tune up their working
process as well as any one seeking the chance work through a specific
project, and develop and extend their existing cabinetmaking and design.
