Centre for Fine Woodworking - Table Making

New Zealand's premier furniture making, woodworking & design school

The table making course covers a wide range of skills and although it is a relatively large scale project it is achievable in this two week intensive course. Choice of materials, profiles of the components and approaches to finishing will all have a significant impact on the final outcome of the table and its design developments.

During the course you will hone your machining skills and finishing techniques. Learning about the construction of a table is a fascinating insight into the strength of wood, and you will have the option to use Oak, Ash or Beech for this project.
